London-based gaming analytics startup Kohort has secured $7 million in Series A funding to expand its AI-driven user acquisition platform for mobile game studios.
The round was led by The Raine Group, which also backed the company during its Seed round in 2025.
Building AI Agents For Mobile Game Growth
Founded in 2018, Kohort develops AI-powered forecasting and user acquisition tools designed to help mobile gaming studios improve advertising performance and scale profitable games more efficiently.
The company believes successful user acquisition depends on long-term predictive modelling rather than short-term campaign optimisation alone.
Its platform combines machine learning and predictive analytics to analyse player behaviour, advertising network performance, lifetime value, and return on ad spend (ROAS).
By providing deeper forecasting capabilities, Kohort aims to help gaming companies reduce wasted marketing spend and identify high-potential growth opportunities earlier.
Turning User Acquisition Into A Data-Driven Operation
According to Dan Marcus, the company is building AI-powered agents designed to operate more like trading systems than traditional marketing tools.
The platform is intended to support gaming studios in making faster and more context-aware user acquisition decisions based on predictive intelligence rather than limited campaign metrics.
The startup says its technology helps studios identify promising games earlier, optimise scaling strategies, and cut losses on underperforming titles before marketing costs increase.
Expanding AI Capabilities
The newly raised funding will be used to further develop Kohort’s suite of AI agents and strengthen its predictive infrastructure for the mobile gaming industry.
The company plans to continue improving its forecasting models and automation capabilities as competition and advertising costs continue to rise across the gaming sector.
