Stockholm-based Newly, previously known as Natively, has raised more than $2 million to accelerate the growth of its platform aimed at making native app development more accessible.
The round was led by PSV Tech, with participation from Karaoke Club, Wave Ventures, Inception Fund, Foundry Ventures, Tiny Supercomputing Investment Company, and a group of angel investors.
Bringing AI To Native App Development
While recent advances in AI have made building websites and SaaS products significantly easier, developing native mobile apps remains complex.
Teams still face challenges such as managing separate iOS and Android builds, complying with app store requirements, and maintaining performance standards. These barriers have traditionally limited app development to specialised engineering teams.
Newly is focused on removing this complexity by enabling users to build and launch native apps without writing code.
From Idea To App Store Faster
The platform combines AI-driven workflows with native development tools, allowing users to design, iterate, and deploy fully functional mobile applications more efficiently.
By automating much of the development process, Newly aims to significantly reduce the time and cost required to bring an app to market.
Expanding Beyond Mobile
With the new funding, the company plans to further develop its platform and extend its capabilities beyond mobile applications.
Future areas of focus include desktop software, augmented reality experiences, and applications for wearable devices.
