CLIMATEX AG, a Swiss textile technology company focused on circular material innovation, has secured €3.5 million (CHF 3.2 million) in a financing round led by the Collateral Good Textile & Fashion Innovation Fund, with additional participation from existing investors.
CLIMATEX develops advanced textile materials and construction systems designed to enable true circularity in apparel and interior applications.
The company’s approach centers on eliminating textile waste by creating high-performance fabrics that are engineered for full separation and recycling at the end of their lifecycle. By embedding circular principles directly into product design, CLIMATEX integrates durability, functionality, and disassembly from the outset.
Its patented technologies focus on enabling the recovery of complex, multi-material textile products within closed-loop systems, addressing one of the industry’s most persistent recycling challenges.
Building A Portfolio Of Patented Solutions
The company has developed a portfolio of recyclable textile systems supported by multiple patents. The company operates at Technology Readiness Level 8 and collaborates with international partners across the textile value chain.
It is also involved in several EU and Swiss research initiatives focused on circularity and has recently filed two additional patents aimed at advancing next-generation textile technologies.
Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen noted that CLIMATEX is addressing a structural opportunity within the textile industry by rethinking construction at the product design stage. By designing textiles for disassembly and recyclability from the beginning, the company aims to enable durable, high-quality products that are compatible with circular systems.

Leadership Continuity And Market Expansion
As part of a leadership transition, current Co-CEOs Adrian Obrist and Patric Rupp will remain involved as shareholders and board members.
The newly raised capital will be allocated toward strengthening sales and marketing capabilities, supporting broader market adoption of CLIMATEX’s circular textile technologies and expanding its commercial reach.
