Offenburg-based happyhotel, a revenue management software provider focused on independent hotels and small to mid-sized hotel groups, has secured €6.5 million in Series A funding.
The round was led by Reimann Investors, with continued backing from existing investors including the Start-up BW Innovation Fund, managed by MBG Baden-Württemberg, seed + speed Ventures, and family office Wecken & Cie.
Founded in 2019 by Rafael Weißmüller, Sebastian Kuhnhardt, and Marius Müller, happyhotel develops AI-supported revenue management software designed to help hotels optimise pricing strategies and increase profitability in a highly competitive market.
AI-Driven Pricing For Independent Hotels
As hotels navigate rising operational costs, volatile demand patterns, labour shortages, and increasing dependence on online booking platforms, revenue management has become more complex and data-intensive.
happyhotel’s platform combines algorithmic pricing models with software tools and analytical insights to support automated price optimisation. The system identifies market signals, analyses booking patterns, and recommends rate adjustments in real time, while still allowing hoteliers to retain oversight and control.
According to the company, its software currently supports more than 50,000 hotel rooms across 12 countries and manages over €1B in annual hotel revenue.
Automating Revenue Management At Scale
CEO Rafael Weißmüller stated that the company’s long-term ambition is to fully automate revenue management workflows for hotels.
The goal is to make professional revenue management accessible to every hotel and automate room sales processes so operators can focus more on guest experience rather than manual pricing decisions.
The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate European expansion and further develop happyhotel’s commercial AI agent, enhancing automation capabilities across pricing, forecasting, and distribution management.
