Milan-based Contents, an AI-powered work execution platform for global enterprises, has secured €5.9 million ($7 million) in a Series B extension round and announced plans to establish Doha as its operational hub for the Middle East.
The funding was led by Qatar Development Bank (QDB), with participation from Alkemia Capital, the lead investor in the original Series B round. With this extension, Contents’ total funding now reaches €21 million ($25 million).
Founded in 2021, Contents develops a work execution platform that orchestrates AI agents, enterprise knowledge, and structured approval workflows. The company focuses on enabling large organisations to transform internal knowledge into complex business outcomes, from multi-market product launches to automated regulatory documentation under strict governance requirements.
From AI generation to enterprise execution
According to CEO and Founder Massimiliano Squillace, the company’s positioning goes beyond content generation. While many AI companies focus on producing outputs, Contents concentrates on orchestrating full business workflows.
The platform operates as a model-agnostic control layer, integrating technologies from Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Mistral. It supports more than 25 languages, including 15 Arabic dialects, and is designed to meet enterprise-level compliance and governance standards.
Its client base includes global brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, William Hill, Sainsbury’s, and Beko.
Rather than simply generating text or assets, Contents enables enterprises to manage entire processes. For example, a brand launching a new collection across multiple markets can use the platform to coordinate content creation, localisation, regulatory compliance, approval flows, and distribution within a unified system.
Strategic expansion into the GCC
With the Series B extension completed, Contents plans to accelerate its expansion across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Doha will serve as the company’s operational base for the Middle East, supporting regional growth and investment in advanced AI solutions for content orchestration, localisation, and governance.
As Gulf economies increase investments in sovereign AI capabilities, Contents positions itself as a European-built, globally scalable orchestration platform designed to bridge intelligence and real-world business execution.
By combining multilingual capabilities with a governance-first architecture, the company aims to strengthen its presence in both established European markets and rapidly expanding Middle Eastern ecosystems.
