Fintower, a Gothenburg-based AI company building a modern alternative to spreadsheet-driven finance teams, has raised €1.5M in an oversubscribed seed round to accelerate product development and growth across the Nordics.

Founded by Salman Eskandari and Ehsan Yazdani, Fintower is addressing a persistent problem in corporate finance: critical budgets, forecasts, and reports still live across disconnected spreadsheets and systems. This setup makes planning slow, fragile, and difficult to adapt when assumptions change.

Fintower’s platform consolidates financial and operational data into a single environment. Using AI, teams can analyse revenue drivers, simulate scenarios, and understand the impact of business changes without rebuilding complex spreadsheet models.

Strong investor demand in oversubscribed seed round

The €1.5M seed round attracted both new and existing investors and was expanded due to high demand. New backers include Chalmers Ventures, Akka, members of the Stena family through William Olsson, and several entrepreneurs and angel investors. Existing investors Almi, Daniel Jonsson of Inet, and Alexander Hars also participated.

According to co-founder Salman Eskandari, the oversubscription reflects a clear market shift away from Excel-based planning toward more robust, decision-oriented tools.

Bridging finance and operations in one system

Unlike traditional financial systems built around accounting charts, Fintower focuses on how businesses actually operate. Its models are structured around products, sales, and people, bringing finance and operations into the same planning layer.

This approach allows finance teams to move beyond reporting and support faster, more informed decision-making across the organisation.

Early traction across multiple industries

Since its first funding round, Fintower has onboarded customers across sectors including software and technology, credit institutions, retail, and energy. These organisations typically operate in growth-focused environments with high demands for financial control, forecasting accuracy, and transparency.

The new capital will be used to further develop the platform and build a scalable, sustainable business around the existing solution.

Aiming to lead financial planning in the Nordics

The startup sees finance teams entering a new phase, where repetitive tasks are automated and AI becomes central to analysis and strategic planning. The company’s ambition is to become the leading AI-powered financial planning platform in the Nordic region.

Investors share this view. According to Chalmers Ventures, Fintower enables growth companies to move from static spreadsheets to intelligent financial decision support, positioning the company well for efficient scaling and long-term value creation.
