London-based workplace trust platform Veremark has raised €22M in Series B funding to accelerate product development, expand its AI capabilities, and grow its international footprint as organisations face rising hiring and conduct risks.
The round was led by Gresham House Ventures, with participation from existing investors Samaipata, ACF Investors, and Stage 2 Capital. The financing also includes a multi-million-euro debt facility from Salica Partners. The raise follows Veremark’s €2.8M funding round in 2024 and reflects continued investor confidence in the company’s growth.
Building continuous trust beyond the point of hire
Veremark focuses on helping employers manage hiring risk and workplace integrity in an environment shaped by remote work, global teams, and increasing use of AI-generated candidate data. The platform enables companies to screen, verify, and monitor trust signals not only during hiring, but throughout the employee lifecycle.
According to CEO and co-founder Daniel Callaghan, organisations are increasingly seeking always-on approaches to conduct risk, auditability, and ethical standards. Veremark positions trust as an operational capability rather than a one-time check.
Integrated platform for screening and integrity
Founded in 2018, the company combines global background screening, rescreening, whistleblowing, and credential verification in a single system. Employers can perform criminal checks, employment verification, sanctions screening, credit and bankruptcy checks across more than 180 countries.
Candidates can manage verified credentials through Veremark’s digital career passport, enabling secure and reusable sharing of employment data across roles and geographies.
Strong growth and strategic expansion
The firm reports a 300% increase in revenue run rate during 2025 and recently acquired Agenda Screening Services, significantly expanding its global screening coverage. The company now serves more than 6,000 clients worldwide and employs over 200 people across seven international offices, including the UAE, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
The new funding will support further AI development, global expansion, and continued investment in client experience.
Investor confidence in workplace trust infrastructure
Investors point to Veremark’s positioning at the intersection of global hiring, regulation, and trust as a key differentiator. As AI increases the complexity of verifying identities and credentials at scale, demand is growing for infrastructure that replaces fragmented, manual screening processes with automated, auditable systems.
The startup estimates the global market for workplace trust and integrity solutions at over €100B annually, driven by regulatory pressure, workforce mobility, and rising reputational risk.
