Helsinki-based Skene has raised €800,000 in pre-seed funding to expand its AI-powered platform that helps software products drive adoption, retention and revenue without relying on large sales or customer success teams.
The round was led by Superhero Capital with participation from executives at NVIDIA. Skene plans to use the funding to surpass €1 million in annual recurring revenue and extend its agent-based growth automation across the full user journey by spring 2026.
Closing the gap between building and scaling software
Rapid advances in AI have significantly lowered the barrier to building software, but turning those products into commercially successful businesses remains a major challenge. Many SaaS tools struggle with low activation, limited feature adoption and poor retention, leading to billions in wasted investment each year.
Skene was founded to address this execution gap. Instead of compensating with additional sales and support staff, the platform uses autonomous AI agents to help products grow on their own.
How Skene’s AI agents work
The core technology is an AI agent that reads and understands a product’s source code, including its logic, structure and intended use. Based on this understanding, the agent generates continuously improving user guidance that helps customers reach valuable outcomes faster.
By guiding users directly within their workflows, Skene increases product adoption, encourages deeper feature usage and supports long-term retention. The approach is designed to scale automatically as products evolve, improving outcomes with every new release.
Product-led growth at scale
According to CEO Teemu Kinos, most legacy products rely on manual processes and human-heavy teams to drive growth, even though AI-native alternatives can operate at much greater speed and scale.
The platform automates product-led growth across activation, engagement and expansion, enabling development teams to unlock growth potential without slowing down execution.
Early traction and roadmap
The startup’s first AI agent is already live with customers, and the company plans to cover the full product growth loop in early 2026. Early users report improved clarity around user needs and previously hidden adoption challenges.
The founding team includes Teemu Kinos, co-founder of GetJenny, alongside Teppo Hudsson and Michele Boggia, PhD, who leads NLP-driven product development.
