Homie, a Helsinki-based startup building a platform for relationship-driven B2B sales, has raised €1 million in pre-seed funding to support its market launch and international expansion.

The round was led by Superhero Capital, with participation from Antler. The funding coincides with Homie’s public launch, making its network-based sales platform available to teams across Europe and North America.

Turning networks into a scalable revenue channel

Homie helps B2B companies generate pipeline through warm, trusted introductions rather than cold outreach. The platform maps existing relationships across employees, customers, investors, and partners, identifying verified paths to decision-makers and enabling teams to request and track introductions in a structured, measurable way.

The approach is designed for sales teams facing declining response rates from automated outbound campaigns, and for buyers increasingly resistant to high-volume cold emails. By focusing on real relationships, Homie aims to turn word-of-mouth into a repeatable growth engine.

The platform is already being used by more than 250 companies, including teams at Revenue Hero, Lorikeet, and Circuit.ai, to convert existing networks into qualified sales conversations.

Built in response to outbound fatigue

Homie was founded in 2024 through Antler’s founder residency in Helsinki, following the founders’ observation that automation has made outbound sales louder but less effective. While AI has lowered the cost of sending messages, it has also increased competition for attention, pushing reply rates steadily downward.

Instead of scaling messages, the startup focuses on scaling trust. The platform surfaces hidden relationship paths that already exist within an organisation, allowing teams to approach prospects through people they know and trust.

According to co-founder and CEO Markku Vuorinen, the goal is to shift sales from volume-driven activity to conversation-driven growth.

Automation has turned cold outreach into background noise. Homie is built on the idea that trust compounds better than volume, and that meaningful growth starts with real conversations rather than louder messaging.

Positioned for the post-AI sales era

As AI-powered sales tools continue to flood inboxes, the company positions itself as part of a broader recalibration in B2B sales. Rather than competing on outreach scale, the company focuses on helping teams activate authentic connections in a way that can be tracked, measured, and improved over time.

Juha Ruohonen, General Partner at Superhero Capital, sees Homie as a response to the limits of automation-first sales strategies.

Many teams ended up automating noise instead of building trust. Homie takes a different approach by using technology to make genuine relationships scalable, which is where long-term value is created.

Expanding globally and deepening integrations

With the new funding, the firm plans to grow its team, expand across Europe and North America, and deepen integrations with CRM and sales tooling to fit seamlessly into existing workflows.

The company believes that as automation becomes ubiquitous, authenticity and trusted relationships will become the defining advantage for modern sales teams.
