Roamless, a global mobile connectivity company, has raised $12 million in Series A funding to accelerate the expansion of its borderless eSIM platform.

The round was led by Rasmal Ventures, with participation from Shorooq, Revo Capital, Finberg, and JIMCO.

The new investment brings Roamless’ total funding to $18 million, following a $6 million seed round completed in 2024.

Building A Single Global eSIM For Travelers

Founded in 2023, Roamless was established by Emre Demirel, Ali Gazioglu, Asim Alp, Selim Aykut, Cagdas Yalti, and Cengiz Oztelcan. The company was founded in Türkiye and is now headquartered in the United States.

The company offers a single global eSIM that works across more than 200 countries, allowing users to stay connected without changing SIM cards. The platform supports both pay as you go and trip based plans, targeting frequent travelers and international users who want seamless connectivity.

Today, Roamless serves more than one million travelers and works with partners across travel, aviation, and financial services.

Owning The Telecom Infrastructure

Unlike many eSIM providers that rely on resale models, Roamless operates its own cloud based, carrier grade telecom infrastructure. This stack connects hundreds of mobile networks through a single service layer, enabling consistent cross border connectivity and giving the company greater control over service quality and user experience.

The infrastructure is designed to support additional services beyond mobile data, including voice, SMS, local phone numbers, and partner APIs.

Riding The Global eSIM Adoption Wave

The eSIM market continues to grow as smartphone manufacturers increasingly adopt eSIM only or eSIM first designs. While fewer than 20 percent of global smartphone connections used eSIM in 2024, GSMA projections suggest penetration could reach close to 90 percent by 2030.

The startup expects this shift to accelerate demand for global connectivity platforms that combine simple user experiences with reliable, carrier grade infrastructure.

Expanding Features And Global Reach

In its next phase, Roamless plans to expand network coverage, scale global go to market operations, and strengthen customer support. The company is preparing to launch Roamless Numbers, enabling local calling and SMS in more than 20 countries.

Additional plans include developing APIs and B2B solutions for travel and financial partners, introducing AI driven network and cost optimization features, and growing teams in key international travel hubs.
