London-based beauty-tech startup Yuv has secured €10M ($12M) in Series A funding to accelerate the rollout of its intelligent hair-colour platform for salons and independent stylists.
The round was led by Nineyards Equity, joined by founder Francisco Gimenez, returning investor VNV Global, and a group of strategic angels.
A New Category In Professional Hair Colour
Founded in 2021, Yuv is building a hardware-plus-software system for precise, customizable hair-colour mixing. Its compact Yuv Lab device pairs with refillable aluminium cartridges and an app-driven formulation engine, replacing traditional single-use tubes and giving colourists data-driven accuracy, lower waste and greater creative control.
The platform blends AI-guided formulation, Swiss-engineered ingredients and real-time usage analytics to help stylists cut operational costs while maintaining consistent results. Yuv’s system is already gaining traction across the UK as salons look for smarter, more sustainable colour technology.
Funding Momentum In Beauty Tech
Across Europe, the beauty and aesthetics sector has seen increasing investor interest. Recent 2025 raises include Innerskin (€12.8M) for clinical aesthetics expansion and Ray Studios (€10M) for European tattoo-removal rollouts. While these deals focus on skin-care and service delivery, Yuv’s raise is notable as one of the few hardware-enabled, refillable, AI-powered tools targeting professional hair colour — a category with minimal comparable activity this year.
Scaling In The UK And Preparing For A US Launch
With fresh capital secured, Yuv plans to deepen its UK footprint and prepare its U.S. market entry in 2026. The company aims to scale manufacturing, broaden its subscription model and bring its patented Lab system to larger salon networks. The move aligns with global market expansion forecasts, with professional hair care expected to grow from €174.7B in 2025 to €293B by 2032.
Nineyards Equity principal Eric Sävendahl said: “We look for companies redefining categories through technology, and Yuv stands out. The team has combined software, hardware and colour science into a platform that solves clear operational and creative challenges for professionals. We’re excited to support their international scale-up.”
Record-Breaking Moment on Dragons’ Den
The company gained national attention in late 2025 after setting a Dragons’ Den valuation record. Steven Bartlett and Sara Davies jointly invested €572K (£500K) for 2% equity, valuing the company at €28M (£25M) — the highest valuation ever accepted on the show.
