Copenhagen-based compliance-tech startup Complir has secured €1.7 million in pre-seed funding to build AI infrastructure that helps retailers manage increasingly complex regulatory requirements.

The round was led by Vendep Capital with participation from Likeminded Plug and Play Xpress JHJ Seed Capital and several industry angels including Kraen Østergaard Nielsen Per Thau and Neil S W Murray.

AI Driven Infrastructure for Global Product Launches

Retailers expanding across borders face a rising challenge: differing regulations overlapping documentation manual checks and increasing demands for safety and transparency.
Complir consolidates product information from multiple systems and uses AI to automate labeling testing requirements chemical risk scoring documentation and regulatory monitoring.
Its AI agents can surface market access rules in seconds enabling faster product launches and quicker entry into new regions.

Expanding Across Europe

Complir already serves several major Nordic retailers across textiles toys cosmetics electronics and home goods.
The new funding will accelerate development broaden category coverage deepen integrations with ERP PIM and PLM systems and support expansion to additional EU markets.
