Madrid-based Anyformat, a generative-AI platform built to extract, structure and validate information from complex documents, has secured €3.3 million in Seed financing.
The round was led by Kibo Ventures, joined by returning investors 4Founders, Abac Nest Ventures, and Decelera Ventures.
The company will use the funds to expand its engineering and product teams, strengthen its advanced extraction and cross-checking capabilities, and deepen development of its proprietary error-detection models.
CEO and co-founder Juan Huguet explains:
“Documents sit at the centre of every organisation. Our aim is to let companies analyse them with human-level intelligence, machine-level speed, and the security standards demanded by European regulation. We’re building Europe’s next document-processing infrastructure.”
A Rare Broad-Scope Document AI Platform In Europe
While 2025 saw selective investment in document intelligence, most funding went to niche tools in medical, insurance, and anti-fraud workflows — including France’s Klaimy (€1.2M) and Prague-based Resistant AI (€21M).
With roughly €22.2M invested across Europe so far this year, Anyformat’s €3.3M round stands out as one of the few broad, agentic document-AI platforms securing funding and the only Spain-based company in this category.
CTO Diego Pérez adds:
“We’re building technology that goes far beyond digitisation. This is about understanding documents, reasoning with them, and connecting them to an organisation’s internal systems.”
Bringing Real-Time, Cross-Linked Document Intelligence To European Enterprises
Founded in 2024, Anyformat has evolved quickly since its initial €520k pre-Seed. The platform now does more than extract fields: it can merge document-level information with internal company data — instantly and at scale.
This enables automated checks against internal databases like CRM systems, policy files, product catalogues, compliance records, or historical logs.
For companies with large volumes of contracts, invoices, emails or regulatory documents, this removes manual cross-verification, reduces errors, and speeds up decision-making.
It also addresses a national challenge: according to Dell’s Innovation Catalyst report, 68% of Spanish companies struggle to convert their data into real-time insights.

Scaling Across Europe With Privacy At The Core
Anyformat aims to surpass €1 million ARR by 2026, driven by European expansion and increasing demand for automation, compliance, and complex document handling.
The company is also investing heavily in its privacy-focused infrastructure, strengthening security layers and working toward certifications such as ISO 27001 — essential for regulated industries.
Its ambition: to establish Agentic OCR as the new standard for organisations that require high accuracy, full data control, and compliant automation across critical business processes.
