Munich-based charging technology company EcoG has secured €16 million in new funding to expand its fast-charging platform and accelerate deployment across international markets.
The round was led by GET Fund, Extantia Capital, and Bayern Kapital.
Building the Operating System Behind Commercial EV Charging
EcoG, led by CEO Jörg Heuer, develops the operating systems that power commercial fast-charging stations.
Its platform enables manufacturers to build high-performance charging devices and gives charge point operators the tools to manage networks at scale — from passenger-car fleets to logistics depots and heavy-duty truck hubs.
The company’s modular universal OS coordinates high-power infrastructure, integrates with backend systems, and ensures reliable, interoperable performance in complex real-world environments.
Designed For Fleet Depots, Logistics Hubs & Megawatt Charging
Heuer notes that charging is entering a new era:
“E-mobility’s early phase is behind us. The next stage is professionalisation — particularly at logistics depots. This shift isn’t coming someday; it’s already here. Companies like Amazon are now among the world’s largest charge point operators.”
Unlike broader platforms from companies such as ChargePoint, EVBox, or ABB, EcoG focuses specifically on commercial fast-charging and supports all major standards, including ISO 15118, OCPP, AFIR, and NEVI. The system is engineered for megawatt-level capacity, essential for electric trucks and large industrial fleets.
Strengthening the Ecosystem Through Strategic Partnerships
The company works closely with major hardware manufacturers including Siemens and Dover Fueling Solutions.
It also provides a suite of development tools that help manufacturers prototype and scale new charging products at speed, reducing time-to-market and improving reliability.
