Dialog, the Paris-based startup building AI shopping agents trained on brand-specific data, has raised €3.7 million in Seed funding to accelerate product development and expand across Europe.
The round was led by Galion.exe, with participation from Kima Ventures, Weaving Group, and angel investors from Criteo, Hugging Face, Alltricks, and AB Tasty. Dialog is also backed by the venture studio Hexa.
Reinventing Online Shopping Through Conversational AI
Dialog builds AI agents that can sell products directly on e-commerce sites and through external AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. These agents act like in-store salespeople — answering questions, giving recommendations, and guiding customers through the purchase journey.
“E-commerce hasn’t really evolved since the 2000s. It’s still categories, filters, and search bars,” said Antoine Grimal, co-founder and CEO. “Generative AI finally makes it possible to recreate a true sales experience online.”
Dialog’s traction underscores that shift:
- 1M+ conversations facilitated
- 300,000+ add-to-cart events
- 20% visitor engagement rate
- 3× higher conversion for shoppers who interact with the agent
- 25% lift in AOV
- 95% satisfaction rate
More than 300 e-commerce brands already deploy Dialog’s agent across product pages, homepages, and search bars — not as a corner chatbot, but as a fully integrated part of the shopping experience.
A fast-growing category across Europe
Dialog’s raise comes amid strong investor appetite for AI-driven shopping and search tools in Europe. Since 2025 began, the sector has seen notable early-stage rounds, including:
- Merx (London) – €1.1M pre-Seed for WhatsApp-based consumer engagement
- TopK (Prague) – €4.6M Seed for AI-native enterprise search
- Peec AI (Berlin) – €7M Seed for AI search and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
- Dalton (Ghent) – €1M pre-Seed to transform static websites into AI-powered growth engines
Together, these rounds represent €13.7M invested in AI search, conversational shopping, and conversion optimization tools across Europe this year.
“Consumers are already used to talking to AI. If your website doesn’t let them, they’ll go ask ChatGPT instead,” Grimal added.
According to McKinsey (2025), 70%+ of shoppers now use AI to research and compare products — accelerating the shift from “click and browse” to “ask and buy.”
Building the AI-to-AI commerce layer
Beyond helping human shoppers, Dialog’s technology enables AI agents to communicate with other AI systems — paving the way for AI-to-AI commerce, where shopping assistants on platforms like ChatGPT directly interact with brand-owned agents.
“Dialog turns thousands of customer conversations into actionable, never-before-accessible insights for e-commerce teams,” said Rémi Aubert, co-founder & CEO of AB Tasty.
What’s next
The new funding will support:
- Enhanced agent capabilities
- Deeper personalization and brand training
- Expanded integrations with major commerce platforms
- Commercial expansion across Europe
“Dialog perfectly embodies what we look for: a bold vision, a category-shaping product, and an exceptional team,” said Thibaud Elzière, Partner at Hexa.
