AI construction startup Freeda has raised €3.4 million to scale its intelligent plan verification platform, designed to help architects, engineers, and developers detect hidden errors before construction begins.
The round was led by Frst, with participation from Brick & Mortar Ventures, and comes as Freeda joins Station F’s Future 40, highlighting it among Paris’s most promising early-stage companies.
In construction and real estate, nearly 70% of pre-construction delays stem from plan inconsistencies and regulatory errors — costing project owners an average of €100,000 per month. The AI platform tackles this by combining automated plan analysis with expert human review, reducing what typically takes over 100 manual hours to just 48 hours.
The result: fewer redesigns, lower costs, and faster approvals — all while freeing design teams to focus on creative and strategic work.
“Architectural plans aren’t just voluminous — they’re incredibly complex,” said Mariano Rodriguez, CSO and co-founder of Freeda. “A single symbol or two centimetres of discrepancy can cause inspection failure. Traditional OCR can’t handle that level of nuance, but our AI can. We’re transforming this complexity into clear, automatable verification processes.”
Turning construction data into intelligent insights
Since its launch, the company has verified over 10,000 plans for more than 10 clients across Europe and aims to analyse 1 million plans by 2026. Its hybrid model — blending AI with industry expertise — ensures every analysis meets local standards, from Europe to the Middle East and the US.
The new funding will fuel team growth, international expansion, and regulatory adaptation, allowing Freeda’s platform to align with diverse building codes and compliance frameworks worldwide.
The startup’s mission is to make plan verification as fast, reliable, and scalable as software testing — a long-overdue shift in an industry where manual document review still dominates.
