Sustainable construction startup 011h has secured €20 million in new funding to expand its digital, low-carbon building platform across Europe.

The round was led by Ship2B Ventures and CDTI, with participation from Seaya Ventures, Breega Venture II Sicar, and prominent industry entrepreneurs including Alex Valls, José Ojeda, and Juan Velayos.

Founded in 2020 by Lucas Carné, José Manuel Villanueva, Josep Barberá, and Carlos Llibre, 011h is reimagining how buildings are designed and constructed through a fully digital, modular, and sustainable approach. The company uses engineered wood, light metal, and prefabricated concrete to integrate design, production, and construction, significantly reducing emissions and material waste while accelerating project timelines.

Scaling a sustainable alternative to traditional construction

The company currently has €50 million worth of residential projects under development across Spain, in partnership with AEDAS Homes, Culmia, and Renta Corporación. The company has also secured commitments for an additional €100 million in 2026 projects.

“Traditional construction is still one of the most inefficient industries in the world,” said Lucas Carné, co-founder of 011h. “Our mission is to show that building can be faster, cleaner, and more sustainable when powered by modularity and digital design. This funding round brings us closer to scaling that vision across Europe.”

011h has already completed projects such as Habitat Hospitalet (Barcelona), Fioresta (Alicante), and Casernes (Barcelona), with new developments underway in Distrito Z (Málaga) and Mar de Calonge (Girona). By 2027, the company aims to deliver over 600 new homes built through its industrialized model.

Backers see 011h as a model for the future of cities

“011h represents the future of sustainable construction — one that unites environmental responsibility with digital efficiency,” said Robin Weninger, Partner at Ship2B Ventures. “We are proud to back a company redefining how cities are built for future generations.”

The startup’s platform is part of a broader shift toward industrialized, low-carbon building methods, addressing both the housing shortage and the construction sector’s environmental footprint.
