Prague-based Supernova has raised a $9.2M Series A round to launch Portal, a new vibe-coding tool designed to transform how product teams work across the entire lifecycle — from ideation to delivery.

The round was led by Taiwania Capital, with participation from J&T Ventures, Reflex Capital, Kaya, Credo Ventures, EQT Ventures, Wing VC, and Y Combinator.

Tackling product development bottlenecks

Founded in 2018 by Jiří Třečák, Supernova originally started as a design-to-code tool before evolving into a full product development ecosystem. The company argues that product teams have long been held back by resource shortages, endless back-and-forth, misaligned documentation, and slow buy-in from stakeholders.

Portal is Supernova’s answer: an AI-powered vibe-coding tool built on the company’s design-to-code foundation. Unlike competitors that stop at prototyping, Portal supports the full product lifecycle without disrupting workflows. Teams can generate detailed prototypes, assign AI agents to auto-update product specs, create business cases, or sync documentation instantly — all outputs remain consistent with prior assets.

“As an engineer and product leader, I’ve seen firsthand how these bottlenecks grind progress to a halt,” said Jiří Třečák, founder and CEO of Supernova. “Portal gives individuals the power to ship like an entire team, and enables full teams to move 10x faster.”

Embedding AI into product workflows

Portal comes with agent-driven collaboration, Slack-style task assignments for AI, and direct integrations with Figma, GitHub, VSCode, and other tools. High-fidelity outputs are generated in line with each team’s design systems, enabling seamless handoffs and documentation.

Supernova’s backers see this as a game-changer. David Weng, CEO of Taiwania Capital, said:

“Supernova has the knowledge architecture to unify design systems and code into a powerful AI-powered platform. Portal doesn’t just prototype — it revolutionizes the full product development lifecycle.”

Trusted by global enterprises

The company has already landed 400+ customers worldwide, including Mozilla, KLM, Air France, Paramount, Kraft Heinz, Skyscanner, and LaunchDarkly, with over half of them in the enterprise segment.

“Supernova is doing for product development what Figma did for design: a single place to collaborate and move fast,” said Tomáš Obrtáč, General Partner at Kaya VC.

Scaling globally from Prague

The Series A funding will help Supernova accelerate product development, expand in Asia and the US, and strengthen its Prague hub while adding roles across engineering, product, and marketing.

Having graduated from Y Combinator in 2019, Supernova has grown into a 30-person international team spanning Europe and the US. With Portal, it now positions itself as a complete AI-driven ecosystem for product teams, aiming to redefine how digital products are built and shipped at scale.
