France-based WAAT, a provider of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in private environments, has raised €100M in fresh funding.

The round was backed by DWS Group’s sustainable investment fund and Bpifrance, with continued support from existing shareholder RAISE Impact.

Scaling EV charging for the private sector

WAAT specialises in installing and managing charging points across condominiums, social housing, and commercial buildings, segments often underserved in the EV infrastructure rollout. With this capital, the company aims to expand rapidly across France and Europe, while also enhancing its smart charging technology.

Chairman Patrick Kic commented:

“This fundraising marks a major milestone in our history. It validates our model — one that balances impact, industrial performance, and long-term growth.”

2030 targets

By the end of the decade, the company has set ambitious goals:

  • 250,000 active charging points installed across Europe
  • Becoming the reference provider for condominium charging infrastructure
  • Expanding further into the commercial sector
  • Enhancing MyWAAT, its customer app, into an AI-powered energy coach for smarter, more efficient charging

The company also plans to export its operational model abroad, leveraging its proven track record in France.

Building accessible EV mobility

Founded to make EV charging accessible to everyone, WAAT manages the full lifecycle of charging projects, from installation to maintenance. Its MyWAAT app simplifies user experience while enabling optimisation of energy use.

The firm currently employs 300 people across 20 French locations, generates around €70M in annual revenue, and has reported positive EBITDA for three consecutive years, according to Le Figaro.

With this €100M raise, the french company is now positioned as one of Europe’s leading private EV charging providers, driving forward the continent’s clean mobility transition.
