Spiko, a French fintech pioneering tokenised infrastructure for cash management, has secured €18.9 million in a Series A funding round led by Index Ventures.

Other notable backers include White Star Capital, Frst, Bpifrance, Blockwall, and prominent angel investors such as Revolut co-founder Nikolay Storonsky and Wise CTO Harsh Sinha.

Unlocking new liquidity channels across Europe

Founded in 2023 by Paul-Adrien Hyppolite and Antoine Michon, Spiko targets inefficiencies in Europe’s €25 trillion bank deposit market, where idle cash typically earns little or no interest. Leveraging blockchain and tokenisation, Spiko enables businesses to directly access high-yield money market funds without compromising liquidity. The company’s infrastructure allows seamless, API-driven interactions with regulated financial instruments.

“In Europe, there’s a mistaken belief that your money won’t earn interest unless you lock it away or take on risk,” said Hyppolite. “With Spiko, we’re changing the game by making it easy for anyone to put their cash to work.”

€400M AUM and counting

The company has already processed over €775 million in working capital for 1,000+ businesses and reached €344 million in assets under management (AUM) within a year—without a dedicated sales team. It now aims to exceed €860 million AUM by year-end.

With this new capital, Spiko will expand its sales and product development efforts, strengthen its partner network, and explore future U.S. market entry. It has already inked distribution deals with Memo Bank and Fygr.

By replacing traditional custodians with a blockchain-powered transfer agent model, the company claims to lower operational costs while offering programmable liquidity and stablecoin integration—positioning itself as a next-gen treasury solution.
