European venture firm 2150 has completed the final close of its second fund at €210 million, pushing total assets under management to €500 million.
The milestone strengthens the firm’s position as a specialist investor backing technologies that enable sustainable growth in cities and the industrial systems that support them.
A Globally Diversified LP Base
The new fund drew capital from a wide mix of institutional investors and family offices across Europe, North America and Asia. Backers include Viessmann Generations Group, Novo Holdings, Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker, Denmark’s sovereign fund EIFO, Carbon Equity, Islandbridge Capital, Security Trading Oy, and US-based Church Pension Group.
Investing Where Cities And Sustainability Converge
Since launching its first fund in 2021, 2150 has focused on the belief that cities generate the majority of global economic output and represent the biggest lever for large-scale sustainability. Today, its 27 portfolio companies collectively generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue, employ over 4,500 people worldwide, and deliver climate impact measured in megatonnes of CO₂e avoided each year.
The firm applies a research-driven investment approach to identify structural challenges in urban and industrial environments, targeting sectors such as energy systems, industrial heat, low-carbon cement, advanced cooling, circular economy, biodiversity monitoring, critical minerals and urban mobility.
Early Deployments From Fund II
Fund II is already active, with seven investments completed. These include electrified industrial heat specialist AtmosZero, refurbished electronics marketplace GetMobil, metals recycling platform Metycle, and direct air capture company Mission Zero Technologies, alongside three additional deals that have not yet been publicly disclosed.
Team And Platform Growth
The VC firm is led by partners Jacob Bro, Christian Jolck, Rahul Parekh and Christian Hernandez and now operates with a 17-person team across London and Copenhagen. The firm positions itself as a long-term partner to founders building globally scalable companies capable of delivering both strong financial returns and measurable environmental outcomes.
Christian Jolck, co-founder and partner at 2150, said the close of the second fund underlines sustained investor confidence in the firm’s strategy. He highlighted that, in just four years, the platform has scaled to €500 million under management while supporting companies that are already operating at meaningful commercial and climate impact scale.
