Vipper, a B2B2C mobility platform offering interlining and door-to-door travel services, announced it has raised €2 million in a recent funding round.
The investment was provided by Hague-based Netsam Participations, a firm known for investing in startups and tech companies.
Allard van Velzen, Investment Manager of Netsam Participations, praised Vipper’s management team for their vision to disrupt the travel industry. The funds will be used to simplify the booking process for international rail, bus, and flight tickets through the company’s all-in-one travel booking platform.
Vipper, founded in 2018 by Emanuel Ponzo Dieu, Jeroen de Visser, and Yannick Gielis, is a traveltech platform that hosts and distributes train, bus, and flight content in Europe. The platform allows for the booking of a combination of content through different channels, including Global Distribution Systems, the Vipper Agent Portal, API, website, and app. The company holds an official IATA Airline code, making it the only technology platform capable of distributing this content.
CEO Emanuel Ponzo Dieu expressed pride in the company’s accomplishment and stated their aim to become the premier hosting and booking platform throughout Europe. The additional funding will be used to invest in the platform, marketing, and brand recognition. The team, shareholders, and partners were credited for their support and belief in startup’s future growth.
