His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has unveiled the Global Prompt Engineering Championship. Scheduled for May 2024 at the Museum of the Future, this championship seeks to draw global talent to foster innovation in the field of prompt engineering.

The event is poised to become “the premier worldwide contest for creators of groundbreaking generative AI applications.” Entries will be judged on their rapidity, craftsmanship, and precision across literature, art, and coding disciplines.

Boasting a total prize fund of AED 1 million, the championship stands as the most substantial contest to date that harnesses generative AI’s capabilities.


Dubai’s Strategic Plan for Emerging Generative AI Enterprises

The championship is a key part of Dubai’s strategy to establish itself as a prime hub for premier talents and a breeding ground for Generative AI startups. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum notes, “The Global Prompt Engineering Championship embodies Dubai’s ambition to be a haven for top-tier talent and a nurturing ground for Generative AI startups, in adherence to our leadership’s vision to advance Generative AI solutions and tap into the possibilities of this avant-garde industry.”

Sheikh Hamdan highlights, “Dubai has entrenched its status as a leading global center for the future, promoting an ecosystem that accelerates the development of AI technologies. It stands as a digital powerhouse on the global stage through the integration of cutting-edge technology.”

Boosting Content Generation Through Generative AI

The goal of this challenge is to amplify the effectiveness and beneficial outcomes of content generation in various sectors through Generative AI technologies like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and other cutting-edge platforms. It endeavors to transform the international tech scene by advancing prompt engineering expertise.

The championship is calling for global talent including AI specialists, content creators, academics, and innovators in Generative AI and digital solutions to participate.

This event not only fosters innovation across numerous disciplines but also includes a competitive element, narrowing down to the top 30 prompt engineering talents over a two-day period.
